Judy Pfaff, granddaughter of Zella Alta Emerson, donated items documenting Zella's years at Spring Arbor Seminary and life in the village of Spring Arbor, Michigan. Zella was the daughter of a country doctor, and his wife Alta. Alta attended Spring Arbor Seminary under the care of her uncle, John Ellison, founding board member of Spring Arbor University and a Free Methodist minister.
