POSTMARK: Sep 26 1912 Spring Arbor, Mich ADDRESSEE: Miss. Madge Scofield, Leslie, Mich, R.D.MS. MESSAGE: I want my rubber boot and winter coat. I do quite a bit of [freezing] around out here doing one thing and another so let me know when papa can work me. Tell Donald that I will send him the picture of the boys dormitory some day. This is the school building. Tell Ted that there are not many pretty girls out here. Your brother Lynn SECOND MESSAGE: Spring Arbor Sept 26. Dear little Madge-how are you. I am well. The weather is cold this morning; [?] it. I was very much pleased with your little letter, although it made me feel as if I would like to get home and see you. I suppose Rob is helping Art, is he not? I see that the week is nearly gone and no frost yet. Therefore there is but a very ten soft ears of corn in the field. I am glad that you like Hazel. You and [broze?] eat lots of watermelons and grapes for me and cut corn hard next week and yes eat two pieces of pumpkin pie for me. I expect to get home some day when the corn gets ripe.
